Makeup Monday: Makeup 101: How To Find The Right Setting Powder
Happy Monday! Today’s installment of Makeup 101 is all about setting powder. Setting powder has many functions: setting foundation, mattifying the skin, absorbing excess oil or diffusing light on the skin. Setting powder can also be used on top of mineral foundations to soften the appearance. Types of Setting Powders Trying to find the right setting powder can be overwhelming because there are different types of setting powders to choose from so listed below is a description of each type of setting powder: Loose…

Wellness Wednesday: Ways To Be Kinder To Yourself
When we were growing up, we were told to be kind to others and that’s what we did. As adults, we continue to be kind to others because we know it’s the right thing to do, but what about being kind to ourselves? This is something I never really thought much about…being kind to myself. We have many different relationships in our lives that we work at and nurture, but the one most important relationship in your life is one you have with yourself. I think we all have internalized a belief that being overly kind to yourself, is a little self-indulgent or even selfish which makes us tend to…

Weight Loss Wednesday: Stress Less About The Scale
Do you weigh yourself every day? Do you worry about even the slightest change in your weight? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, you may be too focused on the scale and if you are trying to maintain healthy habits, this behavior can actually be counterproductive, since there are many factors that can cause your weight to fluctuate from one day (and even one hour) to the next. Fluid retention, hormonal shifts, constipation, and even the food you ate right before stepping on the scale can all cause daily weight fluctuations. These variations can be misleading and worrisome if you don’t understand them. For an accurate measurement…

Makeup Monday: Which One Is Better? Brush, Sponge, or Fingertips?
It’s easy to get confused on which way is the best way to apply foundation…brush, sponge or fingertips. While there are pros and cons to each application method, it all comes down to personal preference. To find out which method will work for you, I recommend experimenting with each method to see which you feel most comfortable using. While trial and error is always a good way to determine what will work best for you, I have broken down each application method below. So if you are still deciding between a brush, sponge or fingertips, keep reading… Foundation Brush Using a brush to apply your foundation is a great way…

What’s Up Wednesday: Project Pan Basket Update May 2022
Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I thought I would give you all an update on my project pan basket. When I started this in January 2022, I had fourteen makeup products and through the process of testing and eliminating products, I now have ten products (two products have been discontinued). I removed foundations (I only have five, so no need to “project pan” them), blushes (the blushes were just too old to use), concealers (I only have three concealers, so no need to “project pan” these) and face powders (I have two face powders and one setting powder for under the eyes (so no need to “project pan” them). So, here…

Happy Monday everyone! It has been a couple of months since I have posted what’s in my monthly makeup basket and to be honest, I just have not been feeling like putting on makeup while working from home, so I haven’t, until now! I have missed taking a few minutes for myself each morning to put on a little makeup before starting my workday, so I shopped my stash yesterday and here is what I will be using throughout the month of May: For The Face, Lips & Eyes It has been quite some time since I have used this, so this month I will be diving into Physicians Formula…
