My Best Of The Best Beauty Products For 2022

Happy Wednesday Everyone! The end of 2022 is near, and I thought I would share with you my most used and loved beauty products for 2022 starting with makeup…

Makeup

Makeup Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Perfector 4-IN-1 Glow Makeup ($9.98 for 0.68 oz., shade 01 “Light”) Originally, I was looking for e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter, but it was sold out everywhere, so I decided to pick this up and I absolutely love it! I wear it alone or under makeup and I am obsessed with the glow I get when I use this!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20 ($9.56 for 1 oz., shade “60 Natural Beige”) I love how lightweight this is, I love the coverage, I love the longevity of it when I wear it and it looks great under the Maybelline 4-In-1 Perfector.

e.l.f. Halo Glow Setting Powder ($8, shade “Medium”) I am not one to use powder all that much because I have dry/very dry skin, but this finely milled setting powder gives the skin radiance while setting the face, doesn’t look cakey and doesn’t settle into fine lines.

Wet n Wild Megaglo Blush & Contour Makeup Sticks ($4.49 ea., shades “Oaks On You”, “Peach Bums” & “Floral Majority”) These makeup sticks are easy to use, they all have a cream to powder formula, lasts all day and is great for on-the-go touchups.

Wet n Wild Always Naked Eyeshadow Palette ($8.48) This 16-pan palette has a good mix of neutral matte and shimmer shades, good pigmentation although there is some fallout, but I am okay with that, easy to use and blend, doesn’t fade, and lasts all day.

Essence Lash Princess Curl & Volume Mascara ($4.99) I am a huge fan of the False Lash Effect Mascara from Essence, and this mascara is just as good and provides lots of volume, as well as length, holds a curl, doesn’t flake, and lasts all day! (Side Note: I combine this mascara with the False Lash Effect Mascara and the results are phenomenal!)

L.A. Colors High Shine Shea Butter Lip Gloss ($3.71 ea., shades “Fresh” & “Sensual”) A new discovery for me and I am glad I found these lip glosses! Great pigmentation, glossy shine, keeps the lips hydrated while on the lips and stays on the lips for a decent amount of time on the lips too!

Skincare

The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10% ($8.50 for 1 oz.) This “Botox in a bottle” is quite a little powerhouse! Now, I still have my facial expression lines on my forehead, crows’ feet around my eyes, lines around my lips and my smile lines, however, all of these facial lines are becoming less noticeable, especially my crows’ feet around my eyes! This will always be in my skincare routine!

Olae Skincare Bakuchiol 3% w/Astaxanthin Anti-Aging Oil ($12.25 for 1 oz.)I received this in PR earlier this year and I absolutely love it! I use this every morning and it helps with reducing the appearance of lines on my face and works well with the Argireline solution. I need to order a new bottle very soon! I don’t want to be without this oil!

Trader Joe’s Retinol Night Serum w/Baobab Seed Oil ($9.99 for 1 oz.) I bought this earlier this year to test it out and now I am obsessed and use this every night. This doesn’t dry out or irritate my skin and this also works will with the Argireline solution too! Another product that will always be in my skincare routine.

Hair Care

John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Shampoo ($9.97 for 8.3 oz.) I started using this shampoo over a month ago (at the recommendation from my mother) for my graying hair. I used to use a purple shampoo when I had blonde hair to reduce brassiness. I had no idea that the same shampoo did the same thing for gray or graying hair. This has toned down my graying hair as well as toned down the brassiness associated with my graying hair. I use this once a week and it has done wonders for my graying hair! Thanks, mom, for the recommendation!

Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask ($3.99 for 5.1 oz.) On a whim, I picked this up from Trader Joe’s to test this out on my hair and I was pleasantly surprised! This hair mask did everything it says it’s supposed to do (moisturizes & revitalizes dry, damaged hair. Deep conditioning for soft & silky hair). After the first use, my hair felt moisturized, soft, and silky! This is wonderful and I will be repurchasing it again!

Trader Joe’s Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Serum ($4.99 for 2.75 oz.) I have been looking for a “dupe” for my beloved Kerastase Elixir Ultime and I will say, this hair serum is very good and does everything it says it’s supposed to do (helps tame frizz & adds shine). After the first use, my hair was less frizzy & shinier, and my hair also felt soft and hydrated. This will be replacing the Kerastase in my hair care routine!
