My Beauty Empties March/April 2024 (Pt.2)

Last week I talked about my skin, body, hair, and nail care empties. Today is all about my makeup empties, and there’s quite a bit to share starting with the face…

Makeup (face, eyes, brows & lips):

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Perfector 4-In-1 Glow Makeup (in shade 01 Light, $11.12) – From the first time I used this, I was hooked! I love the buildable light coverage, the glow and how long it lasts during the day. I use this alone or under foundation and either way, I absolutely love this! (I have tried e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter. This is good, but not as good as Maybelline in my opinion).

Garnier Skin Active Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller (in shade Light/Medium, $11.99) – I have been using this for years. I have tried many high-end and drugstore concealers, but I always return to this one. This hides dark circles, depuffs the under eyes, it’s lightweight and easy to blend (at the time of this post, I have learned that this has been discontinued. Why is it that when I find a product that works for me, it gets discontinued? Really Garnier!!).

Wet n Wild Photofocus 3-in-1 Primer Water (in Rose, $8.97 for 1.52 oz.) – This is a good primer as well as a setting spray! This hydrates my skin before makeup and helps keep my makeup in place most of the day! This will be repurchased!

e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set ($8 for 4.1 oz.) – I really love this setting spray! This contains aloe, green tea, cucumber, and vitamins A, C & E. This is hydrating, keeps my makeup in place all day (even on the hottest of days) and does not contain any alcohol! This is a definite repurchase!

Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray ($27.99 for 4 oz.) – This is a good setting spray. Keeps makeup in place for most of the day, while giving your skin an illuminating glow. This does cost more than a drugstore setting spray, but I think it is worth checking out if you like an illuminating setting spray.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Eye Lash Primer (in Soft Black, $9.99) – This is  the best eye lash primer at the drugstore!! This is tinted a soft black, works well under any mascara I have used with this and the best part, this can be worn alone as mascara for a no makeup, makeup look! This is versatile and a definite repurchase for me!

Maybelline The Falsies Volume Express Mascara ($9.99) – I used to love this mascara back in the day, but I am not a fan of this anymore. I don’t know of the formulation has been changed, but I find that this doesn’t give me the results that it once did, so I will not be repurchasing this.

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara ($4.99) & Essence Lash Princess Curl & Volume Mascara ($4.99) – Both of these mascaras work well on their own, but used together, they are a powerhouse for me! I get both, crazy length and lots of volume and the price is right!! I will be repurchasing these ASAP!!

Essence Lash It Like A Boss Instant Volume & Length Mascara ($4.99) – I really enjoyed using this mascara! This gave my lashes volume & length, lasted most of the day and did not flake, smudge, or smear. I would consider buying this mascara again!

M.A.C. MAC Stack Mascara Superstack ($28) – This mascara is absolutely fantastic! I chose the micro brush version, this gave my lashes lots of length and volume, didn’t flake, smudge or smear and lasted throughout the day! Washed off well too without burning my eyes! The next time I feel like splurging on a high-end mascara, this one is the one I will buy again!!

e.l.f. Wow Brow, Brow Gel (in Neutral Brown, $5) – I have been using this brow gel for a long time! Benefit Gimme Brow used to be my all-time favorite, but once I discovered this one from e.l.f., I have not gone back to Benefit. This has fibers that give my brows definition as well as color and I do not need an additional brow pencil to fill in sparse areas, this is one and done for me and I already have a new tube!

Equate Moisture Lip Balm SPF 15 ($6.09 for a 5 pk.) – This is a really good lip balm, keeps my lips hydrated and moisturized and has the added benefit of SPF 15! I will be repurchasing it again.

Carmex Medicated Classic Lip Balm, Jar ($5.88 for a 3 pk.) – This has been my go-to lip balm for many years! I use this morning and at night before bed. Keeps my lips moisturized and hydrated and I feel this is just as good as any lip mask out there!

Carmex Medicated Classic Lip Balm, Tube ($2.94 for a 3 pk.) – I have a tube by my bed, in my handbag, in the living room and in the kitchen! Just like the jar version, this keeps my lips moisturized and hydrated throughout the day. I have been using this for years too and will always be repurchased along with the jar version!

That’s it for my makeup empties! We will take another trip through my beauty trash in the next month or two and until next week, be happy, healthy, and beautiful!
